Verification methods

Sentry comes with the following verification methods. They can be toggled on the Sentry dashboard

Please note that the basic Captchas generated for free outside the initial free credit can be easily solved by AI within a second. We strongly recommend upgrading to the paid service, which will generate more robust challenges providing enhanced protection and enabling our ongoing product development.

Basic captcha

Free

The basic captcha presents a simple challenge designed to be easily solved by humans. It provides a quick and free way to verify users, but offers minimal protection against automated bots or AI, which can bypass the challenge very quickly.

This method is suitable for trying out Sentry or other low-risk scenarios.

Sentry basic captcha

Puzzle

1 credit per solve

Users are shown a puzzle where an image is split into several pieces and shuffled. They have to drag a slider to move the pieces, correctly reassemble the image and then solve the captcha.

This interactive challenge is highly effective at distinguishing humans from bots, as it requires visual recognition and manual adjustment that automated scripts struggle to replicate.
